Highlights of Day 2 of London included Jessica arriving, hitting Trafalgar Square, and our huge TRIVIA challenge! I labored long and hard to bring the ladies a comprehensive yet fun game to amuse us, and oh, how it did! Erin was crowned champion, which puts her in the lead for now. Check the results to the right to track your favorite non-Olympian!
Erin and I had to go pick up our Olympic tickets (what what) in an area of town that one might refer to as "dodgy," but it gave us the chance to use our mad map skillz and I would rate us a 6 out of 10 there.
Erin was clever enough to find the Chase Visa VIP Lounge, where we were told they would be serving free beer and wine, snacks and other food, free wi-fi, and large TV's with Olympic coverage. It was better than promised! It was the most magical place on earth!
We met up with a friend of Jessica's at a beer garden near London Bridge, where we made new friends and played our trivia game! Once again, the end of the evening resulted in serious monkeyshines. We got our photo taken with a guy from Spain who was dressed as a lion, and he loved doing the Usain Bolt with us! Then we got a drunk snack at Burger King, where we decided that being assholes to the Americans in there would be fun. THEN, 2 Scottish boys asked us for directions and Jessica fell instantly in love with Donald, but his friend was not into it. "She fancies him and no one fancies me, so I'm going home." They told us that if they were going to drink with us on our rooftop patio, they were going to post it on Facebook so that we wouldn't murder them. Evidently, we look like a shady element. After they left, Lauren came home and saw them leaving, and according to her, they would have beaten Usain Bolt, they were running so fast! Adam thought they were on drugs due to the way they were running, Lauren thought they might be gay. We'll never know for sure. We finally went to sleep as the sun was rising and the birds were chirping. Tomorrow we have a date with Chef Morimoto at the Chase VIP Lounge, and we are pumped!
